Palais Oumensour, Taroudant, Morocco

Well Hello Guys ! Here I am again after four months ( and a Baby ^^ ! ) coming to you again with a new destination and a new article !

Right after ( well, a month ) after I gave birth, I immediatly took the road again to a new destination I've never been to before in Morocco.
I was supposed to visit this town and the Riad we stayed at " Palais Oumensour ", in September 2018 but ended up never getting the chance to because of my hard pregnancy.

Now, let me show you how stunning the Palais Oumensour is..

One thing I always loved about Moroccan Riads, is the feeling of being completely transported into another world once you push an ordinary little door placed in an ordinary mud wall in those old streets..

Palais Oumensour is the perfect  place to stay at in Taroudant as it is close to everything you need to see in the Medina.

The magic you discover behind those mud walls is limitless..
Our stay Palais Oumensour was the perfect example of these magic gems you find between the narrow alleys of the old Medinas..

Palais Oumensour has 11 rooms and suites, a beautiful pool, a charming terrace and organises excursions to the surrounding sites such as :
- Tiout Palmeraie
- Afensou region
- Kasbah Taliouine and others..

So after 5 hours of Road from Casablanca to Taroudant, we easily found Palais Oumensour and were warmly welcomed by the staff and the most amazing hostess/manageress and human I ever got the chance to meet.

After having lunch, sipping a cup of Moroccan Mint tea and chatting with the Manageress to get to know the story of the Riad, what to see in the city etc.. We settled in our Suite, and I can't tell you how beautiful the stunning Moroccan details in the room were..

The architecture of the rooms, the wall lights, the traditional mirrors, doors, and windows, aaand guess what ? Our Suite had a fireplace ! ( that I totally forgot to take a picture of ! )
What's better than a fireplace  to cozy up the nights ? And since it was our first trip after my pregnancy, it was just perfect for some romantic nights to say the least !

After a good bath and some rest, nighttime came and look at how magical and peacefull ( and romantic ) the Riad was by night..

Dinner was a win ! Fish was so fresh I tought there was a beach nearby ^^

Next Morning we took our breakfast in the calm and quiet terrace and went out to discover the Medina & Souks..

We were delighted to know that the Souks were only 2min away from the Riad, so we went for a walk discovering the Medina and what the city had to offer..
After wandering around the little alleys, shopping in the souk and seing Place Assarag ( named the Mini Jamaâ El Fna since the city looks like the little sister of Marrakech ) we took a Horse Carriage to go around the impressive walls of the city that are 7km long..

I was so stunned by the beauty of Taroudant and of course ( you know me ) the sunsets...

Taroudant was a really needed getaway for my husband and I, and another incredible discovery in Morocco to add to our Morocco tour list !

Thank you Palais Oumensour for the sweet invitation and the amazing stay.
