Amizmiz & Lalla Takerkoust, Morocco

This time i'll be taking you to Marrakech's areas again : Amizmiz & Lalla Takerkoust. 
Mostly i will be talking and showing the place we stayed in and ate in because this little road trip lasted just for a week end and we didn't move a lot around since we already had seen these areas/fields when we went to Ouirgane and Terres d'Amanar ( Check May's articles ).

So, we took the road from Casablanca to Amizmiz to find the most beautiful and enchanting palace/hôtel ever ! The place is called Kasbah Igoudar Suites and Spa.
This charming hôtel has the most beautiful view on the Atlas Mountains, it is just so peacefull and relaxing and eyes delighting ! 








The room/suite was soooooo lovely with all the lights and the rugs and the bamboo chairs ! i remember walking into it and being astonished by it's beauty !










We got out of the wonderfull room and sat outside to of course wait for sunset time ( AGAIN ^^ ) to take a little walk and discover around..

Then, night time came and the beauty of this place just went a little step further... So we took another walk ! And this time in our pyjama's !



The next morning we woke up to some delicious smells.. Breakfast time !
The weather was nice and fresh but a little chilly since it was January.



After that, we discoverd that Kasbah Igoudar's Lands are more vast than we taught and that they had an olive grove, so we took another little walk to take a look at these beautiful trees before checking out..




Then we checked out and took the road to go explore and see for the first time the Lalla Takerkoust's Dam located on Lalla Takerkoust village in Haouz area.
This Dam was built between 1929 and 1935 for the irrigation and the production of electric energy for Haouz area.
Taking it's source from the Hight Atlas and creating a 7km restraining lake, this dam is a touristic site also nowadays.
The road to it is pretty bad but not dangerous. 3km to discover the most amazing view in my opinion is a small price to pay.. and being road trippers this didn't discourage us at all !






Arriving to Lalla Takerkoust's Dam coincided with lunch time so we went to the nearest and most well known restaurant there : Le relais du Lac. This restaurant has the ideal location and the most incredible view on the lake and the dam.
The food was also excellent ! This lunch time was a win too !










Amizmiz is a little city/village that count 13 000 inhabitants and is located 55km South-Ouest Marrakech.
Lalla Takerkoust is located in Haouz district and  37km away from Marrakech.
Kasbah Igoudar Suites & Spa is located 40km away from Marrakech heading toward Amizmiz village.

Tagadert Lodge, Oumnas, Maroc

Hello everyone ! Today I'm coming to you with a new destination, a new jem found among one of the smallest yet the cutest villages of Morocco... Tagadert Lodge. This dreamy sunset is still on my head though it's been a while now that I'm back to Casablanca. DAR TANJA Guest House, Tangier, Morocco

Today i'm here to talk to you about my recent relaxing getaway to one of the most beautiful Guest Houses in Tangier city. My first time visiting Tangier was in 2005 ( OMG yes 13 years ago !! ) and during winter, due to rain and storms i haven't really had the chance to see anything properly when i was there. Imsouane, Morocco

Hello everyone ! I am here today only few days after the previous article, to share with you my absolute destination-crush of this year ! Before starting out this article, I want to make sure that you guys know this, just in case ! : There are 3 roads that leads to Imsouane from Casablanca. One through Essaouira, One where you take the highway all the way to Agadir city and then take Taghazout's direction to arrive 1 hour later to Imsouane, and One ( that somehow for I don't know which reason my husband decided to choose.. ) that goes throught SO MANY villages between Marrakech and agadir, where we got lost for hours trying to find our way !  We were litteraly in the middle of nowhere and there was no signal and no GPS to helps us find the way to Imsouane. Hello again dear friends ! Today i will be taking you to a little ( but oh so traditional ! ) city. So many people were waiting for this article as they kept sending me questions about what to do there ? what to see ? where to stay ? how was the weather ? how was the road ? and on and on and on.. So here it is FINALY ! Enjoy... :) Ouarzazate 's trip was a 7 hours one. Many of you will scowl at the idea of being in a car for this long but if you are like me and you live for Road Trips you will enjoy it as if it was only a 2 hours ride ! The scenery was soo entertaining and enjoyable ! and we of course made some stops at some little villages with weird names but charming people to eat a bite and by bite i mean a TAJINE ! ( You guys know now how i LOVE tajines ^^ ). But if you're definitely not the type of person that will take a 7 hours Roadtrip no matter what, there is a flight that can take you there in no time !
