DAR TANJA Guest House, Tangier, Morocco

Today i'm here to talk to you about my recent relaxing getaway to one of the most beautiful Guest Houses in Tangier city.

My first time visiting Tangier was in 2005 ( OMG yes 13 years ago !! ) and during winter, due to rain and storms i haven't really had the chance to see anything properly when i was there. And since then i haven't find the time to go back and explore.
I must say tho, that i was more focused on exploring the surroundings than the city itself since i always thought for some reason that there was nothing really interesting or historical to see there.. But Oh how i was wrong !

Anyway ! We arrived to the beautiful Guest House Dar Tanja by night, and once i stepped foot in it i was already relaxed just by the beauty and warmth of the decor and the quiet of the House.
We got warmly welcomed by our lovely hostess Amal and got lead to our stunning Suite which was a cozyness dream !

After a quick tour of the room, we headed down for dinner ( cause you know, it was 9pm and we were hungry AF after 4 hours drive )..
While they were setting dinner for us, we took a little walk around the property to discover it and to enjoy the quiet and the nice weather.. And let me tell you, that the dinner was EXTRA DELICIOUS !
If you ever happen to be in the city, swing by just to eat a meal there if you can't enjoy a night or two ! Because boy their chef is good !

Next day's weather was a DREAM ! we really were soo lucky to have a full day of bright sun and blue sky on February. Breakfast outside was a pure blast and when we finished, i of course took the opportunity to take some pictures in the stunning exteriors of the House..

I absolutely loved the Moroccan details that made me feel at home..

Then i went back to our suite to enjoy the pleasing view from the terrace and spend the rest of my relaxing morning waiting for Lunch time in the Jacuzzi the suite has..

After some lazy 30 minutes in this delighfull Jacuzzi, i took some pictures in our terrace.. i mean ! look at this weather !! how can i miss the opportunity to wear a sleevless top, a hat and enjoy this insane FEBRUARY hot day ?!

Then it was Lunch time, once again, in front of this gorgeous backdrop.. The Pasta was as EXQUISITE as the Tajine from the night before !

Once we finished our lunch, we took the time to discover a little bit of Tangier and it's lovely little alleys. I wanted to go have a cup of Moroccan mintea in a special café that surely had the most outstanding view over the Mediterranean sea ! Café Hafa.

Back to our charming Guest House at Sunset time, it was of course time to immortalise the beauty my eyes were witnessing.. We had such an amazing view from our terrace that i couldn't stop posing for this marvelous sunset ^^ !
And that brick wall was a winning detail for sure !

Finally to finish this busy and beautiful day, it was SPA time, so i headed donw to be taken care of like a princess in a Moroccan Hammam situation which was ideal !

Next morning we took our last breakfast in this charming place and hit the road back to Casablanca.
I just want to say a BIG thank you to our hostess and all the lovely staff in Dar Tanja that made the experience so wonderfull and satisfying. So thank you Dar Tanja for having me and taking so great care of me !
