Ouarzazate, Morocco

Hello again dear friends ! Today i will be taking you to a little ( but oh so traditional ! ) city.
So many people were waiting for this article as they kept sending me questions about what to do there ? what to see ? where to stay ? how was the weather ? how was the road ? and on and on and on.. So here it is FINALY ! Enjoy... :)

Ouarzazate's trip was a 7 hours one. Many of you will scowl at the idea of being in a car for this long but if you are like me and you live for Road Trips you will enjoy it as if it was only a 2 hours ride ! The scenery was soo entertaining and enjoyable ! and we of course made some stops at some little villages with weird names but charming people to eat a bite and by bite i mean a TAJINE ! ( You guys know now how i LOVE tajines ^^ ).
But if you're definitely not the type of person that will take a 7 hours Roadtrip no matter what, there is a flight that can take you there in no time !

 Then we finaly arrived to our charming Riad at the heart of Ouarzazate...

Once rested, it was time for a photoshoot of course !
Then sunset time came and let me show you how FASCINATING Ouarzazate's sunset is from our room..

Once night time came, all the traditional lamps were illuminated and it was magical..

I don't even know from where to begin describing to you the Riad's Chef's food ! It really was a nice surprise for us. All his dishes were SO DELICIOUS and delicate and beautiful !

The next day we went exploring the unavoidable Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou where some episodes of Game of Thrones were filmed. This Kasbah is formed of Mud Houses, called " Tighremt " in Berber language and Kasbah in Arabic. These houses are gathered around a central courtyard surmounted by corner towers. Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou respresent the typical Architecture of the Traditional Moroccan South and is listed as a World Heritage of UNESCO.

Ouarzazate is the Cinematic city of Morocco as big number of big movies were filmed there such as :
* Gladiator
* Prince of persia
* Kingdom of heaven
* Babel
* Alexandre
* Game of thrones
* The man who wanted to be king
* The Mummy
etc...

After seing this inescapable monument, we went discovering the CLA STUDIOS and the ATLAS CORPORATION STUDIOS. The two studios where all the movies i listed above ( and more ) were filmed.
The entry is only 40 and 50dhs respectively. These studios are filled with movie sets decors used in many movies and that remained there after the end of the filming.
